Me in Manila

City life, big, crowded, busy roads, traffic, dangerous, fast-faced, people are liberated, expensive food, etc. These are what i heard about Manila. Well, these also make me so excited to be in the biggest city of the country. Yahoo!

On friday, Imee and I arrived at NAIA Int'l Airport at 10am. We then met my other sister at the airport and went ahead to the Terminal Bus in Pasay to meet our older sister for our trip to Baguio. After Baguio, we head back to Manila mainly to see what it really looks like. And yes, we finally see it! wheee...

buildings, establishments, parks, busy highways, and crowds are flooded.  . I've talked to a taxi driver who happened to be a cebuano. He told us his story and some things about Manila and  he said he is happy to be in here. Then I understand why many filipino wanted to go to Manila. I also realized how people live and the way they live in this area. Not to mention the lifestyle of the a filipino in the city is almost the same as that in a country.

Here are the highlights of  our invasion.

it's not as high as I expected but it's higher than the buildings in Cebu I normally see.

MRT- this is what I really want to experience since there isn't like this in any other place in the country.

On our first night in Manila we went out to see the night view of the city. We also tried riding a kalesa thought the driver trick us.

I'ma trying hard to ride on this "kalesa" @

The next day, we decided to go to Baclaran and try the train but we almost got lost our way to the station as we're not that familiar to the place.

Yey! we're on boarding the MRT

Never miss the biggest Mall in Asia by the name itself. I think there's no big difference with the other malls in the country, it's just so large.

A day in Baguio

Baguio is situated in the North of Manila amidst the mountainous region of Cordillera and is one of the few places in the Philippines blessed with a cool climate. Not surprisingly, Baguio has become the "summer capital" of the country.
My younger sister and I flew to Manila on Friday (07/12/13) and meet my other 2 sisters there. From Manila, it took us 8 long hours by bus to get to Baguio city. We arrived at the Bus terminal in Baguio at 9pm and, fortunately, I ran into some workmates and decided to stay in the place where they are staying since we haven't had any place to go on that very moment.

This place is really, really cold. Air conditioner is no need. Mind you, the water from the faucet is like an "iced water" we buy in stores, freezingly cold. Sure you wouldn't like to wash your hands.

The next day, we then prepared ourselves for the city tour.
Within a mile of the city, the sweet scent of pine trees and flowers already permeate the air.

I should say that Baguio is gifted with variety of cultural, historical and scenic attractions which make it important and interesting destination to tourist. Bellow are the places we've visited.

thought of seeing botanical plants but there wasn't.

Wright Park is just right across the house of the President.

Yey! I finally got to the house of the President.

posing like "igorot"

we're on high!

Souvenir shops are just around the corner. Let's go and get some stuff.

getting some souvenir

As we exit the wright park, these horses lining up greeted us.

eew! stinky smell right here!

This isn't the season for strawberries yet.. November-April is preferred time to pick some strawberries in the farm

You can find an Open-window Mall here in Baguio city. The cold air is just coming in and out of the mall like the people around.

After the sun down, we headed for a dinner at the mall bringing all the "Pasalubong" we got along the tour.  When we came back  to our place we ate all the strawberries we bought in the black market as we were not able to pick some berries in the farm.

yum!

Well, quite a long day it was. we got back to our place with fun, adventures and great experience here in Baguio.

...and that ends our day in Baguio city. Till next time again!

Bohol Adventures

For the second time around, I made my Bohol trip a more exciting one.
This time around, I'm with my workmates and 2 other Japanese, a couple, who actually made all these experiences possible to the extent that they are the one who treated us for the whole expenses of this trip.
So, I'm pleased to acknowledge the Japanese couple. Thank you so much!

On the day we planed this trip, we agreed to tour around Bohol and try all the adventurous activities as much as possible, but, just for a day since one of the members has an errand on the next day.

5:00 is our assembly time,. everybody's gotta be so excited :D
We got to Pier 4, Cebu city at 5:30am with an empty stomachs just to catch the the 5:45am schedule of the ferry.  Unfortunately, we were not able to catch it, instead, 6:30am is what we've got so we need to wait for more than 30 min.

and...

while waiting, we decided to fill our stomachs with something.

and here's what we've got....

donuts, coffee, and... ice cream?? well, yah you heard it right,  an ice cream early in the morning.. hehehe
6:30 came  and here's the ferry waiting for us to be on board.

weeee... we're here!

first stop: dropping by this small "carenderia" along the road for a quick breakfast.

along the road, we were talking about the place we can go and to agree. we ended up going to Danao which has more adventures to take since most of us had toured Bohol and our guest wanted to try adventures also. we thought it would be a good choice.

so now were heading to Danao Adventure park. Taking pictures along the way to ease the boredom.

Here we are! lots of adventures to choose from, huh?

we'll yeah, the one to treat will be the one to decide and he decided to let us try "PLUNGE"
which nobody among us choose it,..ahaha better get ready for a heart-stopping experience. and here it starts our nerves to shake. dub-dub dub-dub...

"SUISLIDE"

"PLUNGE"
Ima certified "Daredevil".. oh! yeah!

after those heart-stopping activities, we headed for the site seeing here in Bohol. and of course to complete this whole experience, we never miss to visit and dine at Bee Farm.

What a whole lot New Experience to all of us.
